This Green house was donated to one of the startups in La Crosse “Everyday Sustainability“. We adapted “Design to Disassemble“ concept. One of fundamental principle that informs decisions and material choices, changing how materials are joined together and how they are layered in a way that is accessible, reversible, and robust. In our case, this Green House could be fully disassemble to foundation and removed to its new location by saving or harvest all materials. There is no mortar, caulking or glue. We used mechanical fasteners to achieve that goal.
This Green House is 80% recyclable, reusable and has minimum chemically treated components.
